SMS Messaging Privacy Policy

Effective Date: January 29, 2025

EternaTrust Insurance Group LLC (“EternaTrust,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This SMS Messaging Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, protect, and disclose information associated with our text messaging program.

1Information We Collect

When you consent to receive text messages from EternaTrust, we may collect and maintain:

  • Your name;
  • Mobile telephone number;
  • Policy or customer account information;
  • The date, time, and method of your consent;
  • Recorded verbal consent, when applicable;
  • Messages sent to and received from your mobile number;
  • Opt-out, help, and customer-service requests; and
  • Delivery and messaging records.

2 How We Use Your Information

We use your mobile number and related information to send non-marketing customer-service messages concerning your existing insurance policy.

Messages may include:

  • Upcoming premium withdrawal reminders;
  • Payment processing or payment status updates;
  • Policy servicing notices;
  • Requests to contact customer service;
  • Administrative policy updates; and
  • Important changes affecting your existing policy.

We do not use this SMS campaign for cold outreach, lead generation, advertising, promotional offers, telemarketing, or cross-selling.

3 SMS Consent

Customers provide consent verbally during a recorded telephone call with an authorized EternaTrust representative.

Before requesting consent, the representative explains the types of messages the customer may receive and advises that:

  • Message frequency may vary;
  • Message and data rates may apply;
  • Consent is not a condition of purchasing insurance;
  • Consent may be withdrawn at any time;
  • Replying STOP will end text messages; and
  • Replying HELP will provide assistance.

Only customers who provide clear affirmative consent will be enrolled in the SMS program.

4Sharing of Mobile Information

We do not sell, rent, or share mobile telephone numbers, SMS consent records, or text messaging opt-in information with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

Information may be shared with service providers that assist us in operating the SMS program, such as telecommunications, messaging, technology, compliance, and customer-service providers. These providers may use the information only to perform services for EternaTrust and are not authorized to use it for their own marketing.

We may also disclose information when required by law, regulation, court order, legal process, or government request, or when reasonably necessary to protect our rights, customers, systems, or the public.

5Opting Out

You may withdraw your consent and stop receiving text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message from EternaTrust.

You may also contact us using the information provided below. After you opt out, you may receive one final message confirming that your request has been processed.

Opting out of text messages will not affect your insurance policy or prevent us from contacting you through other lawful methods when necessary to service your policy.

6Data Security and Retention

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect personal information.

We retain consent records, call recordings, messaging records, and related information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the SMS program, service customer policies, demonstrate compliance, resolve disputes, and satisfy legal or regulatory requirements.

No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7Children’s Privacy

The SMS program is not intended for children under 18. We do not knowingly enroll children under 18 in the program.

8Changes to This Policy

We may update this SMS Messaging Privacy Policy from time to time. Any revised policy will be posted on our website with an updated effective date.
